It’s been a full year since Ben and I bought and moved into our first house. Closing escrow less than 10 days after our wedding made us wonder whether we moved too fast — you know, buyer’s remorse — but everything worked out just right, and this Thanksgiving one of the things we’re thankful for is the pretty roof over our heads.

June 29 th
Yes, we’ve been M.I.A. for a few weeks. It’s a bit of laziness paired with lots of busyness, with a touch of computer problems.
But, hey, summer is here! St. Louis certainly didn’t hesitate to bring on the heat. In fact, temperatures in Missouri tapered off just yesterday, after a 10-day stretch of 95- through 98-degree weather — and taking humidity into account, the heat index had reached 110 degrees!

May 24 th
Last weekend our house transformed into a home. Because what’s more comforting than family, friends and food — and a place to combine all of those things?
What the Fairy Godmother did to Cinderella, our dining-room set did to our house. Take a peek:
Once our two head chairs are delivered, the dining table will comfortably seat eight people, but I was so excited about the new furniture that I set six place settings and pestered Ben to take pictures.
We are so very pleased. Now we need guests; we need you.
