Eat Greek

greeceAfter returning from a trip to Greece in the summer of 2007, Minal and I came back with hundreds of photos and a craving for Greek food. A common and favorite meal for us in Athens was chicken souvlaki and salad. So, one of our main objectives after returning from Greece was to whip up some tasty Greek food.

And because we’re the sharing-and-caring type, here are recipes to three of our favorites: chicken souvlaki, Arab pita and Greek salad.

Home Cookin’

We have been eating well at the Gandhi-Shepard crib. Chef Benjamin has been on a cooking streak.

Tuna Steaks, Mango, Corn, Carrots and saladMonday, it was grilled tuna steaks, mango (YUM!), corn on the cob, baby carrots and a mixed veggie salad. I did cook the tuna just a little too long, but it was still pretty good. The mango was sweet and delicious, and Minal nuked the corn to perfection.

Chicken Pesto Pasta, Potatoes Diablo and saladTuesday, it was chicken pesto pasta, potatoes diablo (we like our food spicy), and mixed veggie salad. And yes it was left over salad from the night before, but Minal spruced it up with some spinach and feta cheese.
